If you are just starting to explore the world of technology in the 21st century classroom, you might be finding it to be incredibly daunting. There is so much out there it is truly amazing. Since I started to become a more active user of Twitter I have been exposed to a increasingly large number of programs, apps, and devices that can be used in the classroom. Some of these discoveries have been awesome and I really enjoy using them. The program I used to create this website (Weebly) is one of the best discoveries I have found in my young career as an educator. Everyday it seems I am introduced to something new. If we consider the last statement to be literal, I would be exposed to over 180 new programs on just school days. Learning and finding a valid use for over 180 different programs would be exhausting.
Therefore, in my opinion, we need to continue to look for that "next big thing." However, don't feel that you need to use everything that you find. Test the waters and if you determine the water is too hot or too cold, move on and look for a better pool. When you do find the program that works for you and your students, share it with others.
