BLog 9/10 - ISTE Reflection and Sharing
The tools I want to highlight are 123D Catch and 123D Make from Autodesk.
123D Catch is a free program which allows you to combine up to 70 photos and create a 3D model from 2D images. When I first heard about it, my response was "It can do what?" Then the presenter showed me some examples and my mind just started racing with possibilities. I am also getting geeked up about augmented reality and this tool has the potential to help create 3D files that could then be activated with various AR apps. Below is a sample I created from one of my son's Lego creations. To see the full effect, click on the image to go to the Autodesk website. Then, below the image you will see three viewing options. Click on the option on the far left to see the 3D model.
